Ceremonial Head of State

How the offices can coexist

The President remains the constitutional head of state. The Crown, if discussed at all, should remain a public symbol of heritage and continuity.

President

  • Elected head of state
  • Constitutional legitimacy
  • Formal state role

Crown

  • Ceremonial and cultural only
  • No command over government
  • No competing sovereignty
